Rodarte ballet costumes for Black Swan

Black Swan Rodarte

Darren Aronofsky's Black Swan (out December 3rd) is my most anticipated film this year. Although anything even remotely related to horror usually scars me for life, I'll be brave this time because the ballet costumes in this movie were designed by the Mulleavy sisters of Rodarte.

I really like that right now you can only find about 5 photos showing the costumes online; you can't see them well in the trailer either, as if they're deliberately keeping them secret until the release.

  1. Black swan is on my movie list too! I confess that my expectations are rather high, so I hope it won't disappoint me. The Rodarte costumes are the cherry on top.
(Natalie is SO scary with those red eyes...!!!)

    • My expectations are very high too because I almost don't watch movies any more (and when I do, it's usually not the latest ones anyway). Those eyes creep me out as well, I hope they won't appear in many scenes. :D

  2. I'm really looking forward to both the movie and the frocks, and I'm a horror movie fan, so the bar has been set up pretty high! Hope I don't get disappointed with it :o

  3. Thank you for the heads up about this film and its costumer designers, Rodarte! I had no idea. How exciting! Ballet and fashion are two of my favourite things and here they are together. Did you hear the Aronofsky split from his actress wife recently?
