A year ago, Mathieu Mirano's Chinese dragon-inspired Autumn/Winter 2012 collection was one of my New York Fashion Week highlights. For Spring/Summer 2013, Mirano has released a collection and an accompanying video, Evolution, based on the idea of a scientist experimenting on the remains of ancient reptilians and getting so immersed in her study that she transforms into a creature herself. Watch the video on Mathieu Mirano's Facebook page.

Thanks for sharing this one !!
The concept is scientific but the its translation into beautifully textured wearable garments and accessories is commendable ! First time seeing the work of Mathieu Mirano, and impressed :)

When I went to New York Fashion Week for the first time, I was surprised to find so many great young, emerging designers that are relatively unknown worldwide, but well established on the local market. Mirano is incredible, I wish him lots of success.
